Happy EOFY (End of Financial Year) and welcome to the July edition of Premier Financial Planning & Investment news. What a busy time we have had, with the first half of this year, being the busiest we have been since starting our new business in 2009. Sheep and Cattle prices seem to be remaining at or near all-time highs, which has in turn seen a higher number of farms being sold, some at record prices. All in all, not a bad time to be living in the Riverina, although another dose of rain would not go astray.
Those who attended our seminars last year would know about Brenda Norman’s upcoming challenge in the Channel 4 Change to support mental health in rural areas. The C4C goal was to reach $40,000 but despite from a few setbacks including a broken rib and chest infection from training Brenda has raised $50,000! With less than 30 days to go Brenda will attempt to swim the English Channel so we wish her all the very best, and if you would like to donate to this great cause please do so via https://channel4change.com.au/#donate
Rob & Troy attended the Riceholders share meeting at the Deni golf club on last month to discuss the prospect of Ricegrowers listing on the ASX. Interesting times at the moment, with Ricegrowers. They have been looking to list on the ASX for some years now, with a previous attempt thwarted by shareholders.
Please note, Rob and Sue will be out of the office and heading up North (half their luck) until the 24th of July, during this time Troy and Emily will be working away in the office and available to answer any queries.
Lastly, have a great month and enjoy our top-rated articles below.
